2009 was a very successful year, not just for our young stallions who are competing so well, but also for the off spring of our established older KWPN Stallions GOODTIMES and HATTRICK. The young AES stallion Great Times (Goodtimes x Concerto) jumped double clear in the 4 year old class at SCOPE FESTIVAL – only ever his third show and double clear in the blue chip qualifier at his first indoor show last month. He looks to follow in the illustrious footsteps of his famous father GOODTIMES who was well represented at HOYS with his son UMORKUS ridden by Louise Pavitt. His owner , Emma Harrison, hopefully another ‘GOODTIMES’ on the way having put her SJ MARE Sapphire in foal to him. Also UDO, by GOODTIMES and ridden by Robert Whittaker is making big waves on the showjumping circuit qualifying HOYS and winning many classes in 2009 and could be the one to watch for the future 2012 Olympics?
Our young stallion CLOUD NINE (LANDO X CALIDO) continues to impress with faultless performances showjumping, beautifully ridden by Michael Potter who is producing all our young showjumping stallions. His many wins and placing in 2009 included jumping double clears all three days at Equifestival culminating in wining on the Sunday and also wining the Newcomers championship at The British Masters. Following a busy stud season he will now be aimed at the Foxhunter final in 2010. The standard of his foals in 2009 has been yet again staggering. Congratulations to Davina Hindley whose Cloud Nine filly (Cloud Nine x Marlon) was reserve champion at the recent KWPN GRADING SHOW.
The KWPN Bred AES Stallion VALENTIN R (Heartbreaker x Indorado) has also returned to the UK and is also competing very successfully with Michael Potter, being well placed at his first three affiliated shows and winning his first Newcomers indoors last month. He too will be aimed at the Foxhunter final in 2010. With his impressive pedigree and impressive jump,he already has mare’s booked for 2010 and is gaining quite a following showjumping.
AMARILLO our four year old dressage stallion also had a fabulous first year competing with amateur rider Emma Taylor, qualifying for all the young horse championships and being well placed in all the finals including petplan , and winning the shearwater potential international dressage horse qualifier We look forward to his first foals due in 2010
