The Sport Horse Centre Stud Terms and Conditions The Sport Horse Centre is able to supply fresh, chilled and frozen semen from our own and listed stallions, for despatch to breeders throughout the UK. In addition we take in mares at livery for A.I. with fresh, chilled or frozen semen, including semen that is sent in from other studs or overseas. Mares with foals at foot can also be taken in for A.I at our associated facilities, Far Westfield stables, where foaling facilities with CCTV are available, supervised by experienced staff. Visiting mares All visiting mares require a current clear EVA and CEM swab before entry and must arrive with their passport. It is also advised that mares have an up to date vaccination certificate and are wormed pre-entry. Please ensure mares arrive at stud without hind shoes. Mare boarding costs ( invoiced monthly) are as follows Mare at grass £6.00 per day Mare & foal at grass £8.00 per day Mare stabled £12.00 per day Mare & foal stabled £14.00 per day Foaling fee £200 For visiting mares being inseminated with fresh/chilled/frozen semen from our own or listed stallions, a stallion booking form must be completed on entry. This must be accompanied by a non-refundable stud fee deposit of £368 (£320 plus VAT) Cheques made payable to 'The Sport Horse Centre'. A collection fee of £65 ex VAT per collection, is charged for mares being inseminated with fresh semen from any of our own or visiting stallions based at The Sport Horse Centre. The balance of the Stud Fee ( plus any postage costs if fresh/chilled semen is required from Europe) will be invoiced on 1st October. Balance payment is strictly 7 days, after which time a 5% surcharge will be added. No covering certificates will be issued until payment is received in full. If the mare is not in foal on the 1st October ( latest date), no further stud fee is due PROVIDED we receive signed notification from your veterinary surgeon that the mare is not in foal. For visiting mares leaving The Centre scanned in foal, an 'In Foal' fee of £120 ex VAT is payable, this covers all grooms fees and handling costs associated with the veterinary work. If the mare is confirmed not in foal at 1st October, the 'In Foal' fee is refunded. Veterinary fees Mares are accepted at The Sport Horse Centre at an 'all in package' including drugs, to cover routine veterinary reproduction work which will be carried out by our resident veterinary practice. All veterinary expenses are payable by the owner direct to Spring Paddocks Equine Clinic. Please see separate sheet for veterinary package terms and costs. Semen sales Fresh/chilled and Frozen semen is available from our own and listed European stallions ( see attached sheet). 48 hours notice is normally required for the order of fresh/chilled semen. No semen will be despatched without the receipt of a completed order form outlining owner and mare details plus correct delivery address. With orders placed before 8.30am, in most cases, it is possible to arrange next morning delivery. We are now able to offer an exclusive service of next day 8.30am delivery at The Sport Horse Centre, Coventry, of fresh chilled semen from European based stallions on our list, at a shipping cost of only £28.00. For next day UK postal delivery of fresh/chilled from stallions based at The Sport Horse Centre, the cost TNT is £20. Urgent courier 'same day as collection' delivery can be arranged, please phone for delivery cost. We cannot accept responsibility for semen that is lost in transit, but wherever possible we will try to resolve any non delivery problems. For Frozen semen, payment of the full stallion fee is required in advance and includes up to three doses of semen per mare to obtain a pregnancy. Delivery charges for frozen semen are £65 per dose which includes veterinary Health Certificates, plus a refundable deposit of £100 for frozen semen container. At least 24 hours notice is required for next day delivery. If the mare is not in foal on 1st October ( latest date) 50% of the covering fee will be refunded on receipt of signed veterinary certification. Delivery costs are non refundable. Frozen semen is not insured once it has been despatched from the Centre. It is your responsibility to checked that your veterinarian is covered for frozen semen storage whilst stored on his premises. Our facilities are also available for visiting Stallions, either as a 'walk in' service, or we can provide stallion livery facilities. Stallions stabled at the Centre for collections are boarded at £22.00 per day. All visiting stallions require a current EVA and CEM swab before entry. ALL STALLIONS, MARES AND FOALS ARE LEFT ENTIRELY AT THEIR OWNERS RISK AND NO RESPONSIBILITY CAN BE ACCEPTED FOR INJURY, DISEASE, DAMAGE OR LOSS WHILST ON THE PREMISES.
